CompPharma is a consortium of the nation’s leading PBMs that are active in workers’ compensation. Pharmacy cost management involves much more than the discounting the price per pill. Utilization, medical trend, third-party billers, physicians’ prescribing practices, new drugs on the market and the timing of patent expirations, along with individual state’s varying laws and regulations impact the costs of comp pharmacy.
To keep abreast of cost drivers and the constantly changing world of
workers’ comp, PBMs are banding together under CompPharma to develop
